San Diego, Calif. 鈥� February 17, 2024 鈥� 91制片, is pleased to announce that the 2024 recipient of the organization鈥檚 Friend of 91制片 Award is Lori Vines, an 91制片 staffer who has spent more than 40 years with the organization in a variety of roles. A ceremony to recognize these individuals was held during 91制片鈥檚 .

This award is given by 91制片鈥檚 executive director to a non-educator, school district-based person or group/organization that has consistently supported the mission of 91制片 and has given his or her time and effort to help the association accomplish its goals to advocate on behalf of public education and assist with the professional development of its members.

Currently serving as a director of membership and affiliated services, Vines began working at 91制片 in 1980 when was she was hired as a clerk typist to transpose hand-written communication materials into electronic files using a word processing machine.

For Lori, it is always about the 91制片 family, the members and the relationships she built throughout her time with the organization.鈥�

In 1982, 91制片 introduced the first onsite computer and Vines was assigned computer system administrator duties, managing the day-to-day operations of 91制片鈥檚 computer systems and the membership database.

Regarded as the most comprehensive professional learning and networking event for school superintendents and administrators, 91制片鈥檚 National Conference on Education addresses the most critical issues affecting public education today, including live well, lead well鈥攈ealth and well-being and self-care; redesigning learning; school environment and culture; school safety, finances and operations; and transformational learning and leading.
