91制片 Cohort Serving as National Leader in Creating Positive Change in Schools
Alexandria, Va. 鈥 Nov. 14, 2022 鈥 School system leaders throughout the country who are creating innovative solutions for the young learners in their communities are gathering in Boston, Nov. 14-16, for the 2022 Fall Early Learning Cohort meeting hosted by 91制片.
In partnership with Waterford.org and the National Head Start Association, participating superintendents in the 91制片 Early Learning Cohort will engage in meaningful dialogue with administrators of Boston Public Schools as well as local community-based pre-schools during the three-day event in an effort to uncover emerging research to facilitate positive change in our schools.
鈥91制片鈥檚 Early Learning Cohort is comprised of dedicated professionals who are creating research-based strategies to support school districts nationwide in order to make a positive difference in the lives of our young children,鈥 said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, 91制片. 鈥淲e greatly appreciate the team at Boston Public Schools for hosting our fall meeting, where cohort members will examine actionable practices that can be used in their own districts and beyond.鈥
The gathering鈥檚 first day will largely be devoted toward building capacity in rural districts and the expansion of career and technical opportunities in these areas. Other key themes will include implementing developmentally appropriate practices in early learning settings; supporting systemic improvement through data analysis, coaching and professional learning; and, applying key takeaways from Boston鈥檚 schools and community to the educational settings of each cohort member.
Earlier this year, the 91制片 Early Learning Cohort released a first-of-its-kind toolkit aimed at supporting all providers of early learning, especially school districts, as they embrace the significant responsibility of providing early childhood education. The Early Childhood and Learning Toolkit is a resource offering actionable practices that provide educators with a gateway to explore and define ways to make a positive difference in the lives of the nation鈥檚 50 million public school children and their families.
