Alexandria, Va. 鈥 Nov. 17, 2020 鈥 In its continuing efforts to ensure safer classrooms throughout the country, 91制片, is teaming up with a Boston-based software company that helps schools protect their students and staff in the event of active threats.
The latest addition to 91制片鈥檚 School Solution Center focuses its software development efforts and strategic mission on improving response times and increasing communications during an active shooter event. School districts partnering with In Force Technology have the ability to immediately and directly notify first responders at local agencies, regardless of location, and have two-way communication during an emergency event to provide mission-critical details needed to end the threat as soon as possible.
鈥淒espite a national pandemic, school safety must remain a focus and the top priority for school districts across the country,鈥 said Brandon Flanagan, CEO, In Force Technology. 鈥淪uperintendents are aware of the necessity and importance of increasing school safety and security by ensuring a safe teaching environment for our educators and a safe learning environment for staff, faculty and students.鈥
鈥淭he health, safety and well-being of students, staff and families is, and will always be, a top priority of 91制片, especially during these uncertain times,鈥 said Chuck Woodruff, chief operating officer, 91制片. 鈥淲e look forward to sharing information about In Force Technology to our members to help them ensure safety in their schools and communities.鈥
IN FORCE911 establishes a real-time communication window, with mission-critical details and actionable intelligence sharing, collectively, between those experiencing the threat and those responding. When seconds matter most, reducing response time and increasing communication become the two most determining factors in successfully mitigating risk and loss of life.
鈥淲hen looking at ways to improve communications with our staff during a critical incident response, IN FORCE911 was the clear choice for our schools,鈥 said Dale Ellis, superintendent, Montgomery County (N.C.) Schools. 鈥淲e are so excited to deploy IN FORCE911 to help make our schools as safe as they can be.鈥
