The Promise to Practice Expo is your opportunity to share how your district is making The Public Education Promise a reality for all students. Showcase your unique initiatives, innovative practices, and the impact they're having on children and the community.
The Expo will take place during the EdLeader Promise Innovation Conference (EPIC) on October 13, 2026 from 3:30-5:00 pm.
3 Steps to Participate
Participation is as easy as 1-2-3! Below are the key steps to being featured in the Expo, including approximate time commitment associated with each.

Gather & Submit Artifacts
~15-30 minutes
Collect the artifacts you鈥檇 like included in your Promise to Practice banner and upload them to an easy-to-use online form.

Approve Your Banner
~10 minutes
The 91制片 team will create your Promise to Practice banner based on the artifacts you submit. All you have to do is review and approve!

Share Your Story at EPIC
1 hour
Showcase how your district is turning promise to practice during the Expo at EPIC. Talk with attendees about challenges and successes, and share proven practices from your district.
What to Submit
Gather artifacts that tell your story.
Ensure artifacts align with one or more of The Public Education Promise principles and accurately illustrate how your district turned vision into reality.
Artifact examples include:
- Instructional tools or frameworks
- Portrait of a Graduate documents or graphics
- Strategic plans or other planning documents and templates
- Student work samples
- Data dashboards or summaries
- Photos
- Links to videos or additional resources
The strongest submissions include:
- Compelling Visuals: High-quality photos, graphics, charts, or infographics that showcase your work and make your story easy to understand at a glance.
- Actionable Insights: Concise, informative bullet points that provide the context, strategies, and key details other districts would need to replicate or scale your success.
- Evidence of Impact: Concrete examples, measurable outcomes, and specific stories that illustrate how your efforts have positively affected students, staff, and the community.

Promise to Practice Focus Areas
The Expo, like EPIC, is grounded in The Public Education Promise principles. Submissions should focus on one or more of the following areas:
Topics Include:
- Implement personalized learning systems for diverse student needs Integrate technology, including AI, to enhance individual learning pathways
- Expand project-based and competency-based learning models
- Promote student voice in shaping learning environments
- Support whole-child development, well-being, and belonging initiatives
Topics Include:
- Strengthen financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills
- Deepen digital citizenship and online safety
- Expand STEM, career exploration, and real-world credentialing
- Use community partnerships to provide experiential learning
- Support multiple pathways including college, career, and entrepreneurship
- Strengthen executive function capacities including focus, working memory, planning, and self-regulation to improve academic learning, adaptability, and real-life readiness
Topics Include:
- Create supportive, inclusive cultures that reduce educator burnout
- Offer strong pipelines, mentorship, and leadership development
- Elevate innovative staffing models and flexible work options
- Develop workforce readiness for AI and emerging technologies
- Recognize and celebrate educator excellence
Topics Include:
- Strengthen transparent communication with families and boards Increase student and family participation in decision-making
- Expand business and civic partnerships to enhance learning
- Build trust and community alignment around public education
- Use partnerships to advance equitable access to experiences and resources

- Advance comprehensive assessment systems beyond tests
- Use data ethically to guide instruction and system improvement Implement community-developed graduate profiles

Key Dates & Deadlines
August 31, 2026: Submission form completed and all artifacts uploaded
September 11, 2026: First draft of banner delivered to district
September 16, 2026: All edits or comments due to 91制片
September 18, 2026: Final draft of banner delivered to district
September 22, 2026: Final banner approval due to 91制片
