Alexandria, Va. 鈥� March 4, 2021 鈥� Superintendents championing early learning initiatives throughout the country are gathering for the virtual Early Learning Institute 2021, March 4-6.

The three-day event, Thriving Children, Thriving Communities, is available for recertification credit and step advancement in most Nevada school districts. Meeting hosts include 91制片, the Clark County School District, the Cook Center for Human Connection, the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP), the Nevada Association of School Administrators (NASA), Nevada Ready, The Village Foundation and Waterford. 

鈥淯nderstanding young children鈥檚 learning and development is critical in supporting the success of our schools,鈥� said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, 91制片. 鈥淚 am pleased that 91制片 members along with members of our partner organizations are driving the momentum to foster early learning programs on behalf of the communities they serve and beyond.鈥�

鈥淭ogether, districts, schools and their partners can build thriving communities that support young children and their families,鈥� said Jeffrey Geihs, executive director, NASA. 鈥淭he outstanding educators joining us will have ample opportunities to get a firsthand look at implementing the framework built around successful models of early learning programs throughout the U.S.鈥�

Keynote speakers will include:

• Kristie Kauerz, director, National P-3 Center; associate clinical professor, University of Colorado/Denver鈥檚 School of Education and Human Development
• Gracie Branch, associate executive director for professional learning, NAESP
• Peter Finch, assistant superintendent, West Valley (Wash.) School District 
• Minerva Pardo, family engagement coordinator, West Valley (Wash.) School District 

Participants will engage in meaningful dialogue with their peers in an effort to discover best practices and review emerging research to facilitate positive change in our schools.
