91制片鈥檚 Transformational Leadership Consortium to Serve as National Leader in Shaping Educational Technology Policies and Programs
Alexandria, Va. 鈥 March 4, 2020 鈥 Leaders of dynamic digital learning environments in America鈥檚 public school systems are gathering at the , March 8-10, as part of the Transformational Leadership Consortium (formerly the Digital Consortium), hosted by .
The purpose of the consortium is to support school district administrators as they scale successful models in support of engaging, effective learning experiences using digital media, and educational and community partnerships in order to be the leading national voice for innovation in our nation鈥檚 public schools.
鈥淪uperintendents and staff attending this meeting see firsthand the creation of technological solutions that are benefitting students in another part of the country and are able to bring best practices and winning strategies back to their home districts,鈥 said Daniel A. Domenech, executive director, 91制片. 鈥淭hrough platforms such as the Transformational Leadership Consortium, superintendents are able to collaborate with their peers in order to make digital transitions a reality in their own communities. We are grateful to Superintendent Mike Cady and his team for facilitating our spring meeting.鈥
鈥淢embership in the 91制片 Transformational Leadership Consortium provides school system leaders with opportunities to visit districts that are driving positive change to help make students college and career ready. We are honored to serve as host district for this meeting,鈥 said Mike Cady, superintendent, Pewaukee School District. 鈥淥ur school district is passionately committed to opening the door for each child鈥檚 future as we seek to maximize the potential of each child鈥檚 learning.鈥
The three-day meeting will include a discussion about : an innovative education capstone, designed by Pewaukee High School to give students hands-on, real-world experiences immersed in a professional setting. Attendees will also visit classrooms where they can view the district鈥檚 personalized learning program, tech integration, inclusion, Fab Lab, Makerspace/Design, and learning space design.
鈥淲e are so pleased that more and more like-minded leaders who are building successful models of effective learning experiences using digital media are participating in 91制片 Leadership Network meetings to take advantage of the rich conversations and networking that occur at such a rapid pace,鈥 said Mort Sherman, associate executive director, leadership network, 91制片. 鈥淔or the past five years, I have seen convening superintendents generate the right discussions about what matters most to students when it comes to successful models of technology advancements. I look forward to seeing many of them in Wisconsin.鈥
