Dana Bowser
Dr. Dana M. Bowser is an experienced educator, social worker, and national presenter with close to 30 years of service in education, counseling, and human services. She currently serves as the Director of Student Success and Engagement for the Chester-Upland School District, where she leads districtwide efforts focused on social-emotional learning (SEL), mental health, and equity for vulnerable student populations. Dana has her bachelor鈥檚 degree in education, master鈥檚 degree in social work and counseling from Temple University and obtained her Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Neumann University. She proudly serves as the Chair of the Student Voice Committee for PA4SEMW (formerly SEL4PA), where she amplifies youth perspectives in statewide conversations about school climate and wellness. She is also a member of 91制片鈥檚 Aspiring Superintendent Academy for Latino/Latina Leaders. Her professional journey began as a high school Spanish teacher in Philadelphia and has evolved into a leadership path grounded in whole-child development and inclusive, trauma-informed practices.
Dana has presented across the country on SEL integration, mental health in schools, McKinney Vento Homelessness Act, and culturally responsive education, including keynotes, ignites, poetry, and panels at national conferences such as 91制片鈥檚 Leadership for Well-Being, CPSEL, Paving the Way, OST, the PEDC Educator Diversity Summit, and others. A proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she is also a dedicated community advocate, leading charitable efforts with organizations like the March of Dimes, where she has helped raise over $120,000. Whether mentoring students, producing talent shows, teaching Zumba, spending time with family, or championing equity and belonging, Dana鈥檚 work continues to uplift school communities and empower the voices that matter most.
